Emulex FC adapter in OFFLINED state after ONTAP downgrade

Issue

  • After downgrading ONTAP to a version below 9.8P7, the Emulex LPe35000 (LPe35004) adapter ports stays offline
  • "sysconfig -a" output reports adapter as <OFFLINED BY SYSTEM>

  • Event logs during ONTAP downgrade will show error while downgrading HBA firmware
