EFI folder missing from Service Image download file used for boot device recovery for FAS and AFF models

Applies to

  • AFF A400, FAS8300, FAS8700
  • AFF A320
  • AFF A800

Issue

  • In order to perform a boot device replacement for the models noted above, the EFI folder is needed from the Service Image (BIOS) for that platform
  • The current version of each of these platforms Service Image contains the required EFI folder
  • Certain very old versions of the Service Image downloads did not include the EFI folder for these platforms only
