Applies to

  • X1153 2-port 100GbE module in Slot 1
  • AFF A250, AFF C250, FAS500f
  • NS224 NVMe storage shelf

Issue

  • When trying to modify a port to become a storage port on an X1153 module installed in slot 1, you see the following error:

::> storage port modify -node node node1 -port e1a -mode storage

Port operation "modify" failed on port "e1a" because it is not supported on dedicated port

You will also see dashes for "Mode" next to the port in storage port show output:

::> storage port show
