  • ONTAP provides some features to help predict hardware failures, but it cannot predict hardware failures completely. Here are some relevant features and methods:
  • AutoSupport: ONTAP can send performance and health status information of the storage system to NetApp regularly through the AutoSupport feature. NetApp can use this information to monitor the system and provide recommendations and predictions based on the analysis results.
  • Active IQ: NetApp's Active IQ is a cloud service that collects and analyzes storage system data globally, providing features such as performance analysis, capacity planning, and fault prediction. Active IQ can analyze a large amount of storage system data, identify potential hardware failure risks, and provide corresponding recommendations.
