Issue

  • Both controllers shutdown when performing a power test on a single PSU on the shelf
  • EMS logs show the controllers went down due to 'chassis under temperate environmental shutdown' after power was removed from PSU

[Node01: monitor: monitor.globalStatus.critical:EMERGENCY]: Power Supply Status Critical: PSU1. Disk shelf fault.
[Node01: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.chassisUnderTemp:error]: Chassis temperature is too cold: System temperature is critical low. System will be shutdown in 2 minutes
[Node01: env_mgr: callhome.chassis.undertemp:EMERGENCY]: Call home for CHASSIS UNDER TEMPERATURE SHUTDOWN

  • Environment log shows PSU sensor 7 decreasing before hitting critical undertemperature
