About the configuration ports of FAS2700 series 2-node Switchless Cluster
Applies to
- FAS2720
- FAS2750
Answer
- There are two types of MBs in the FAS2700 series.(UTA2 and RJ45 types)
- Cluster Interconnect can use ports other than e0a and e0b.
- e0c/e0d and e0e/e0f are connected to separate chips.
- For UTA2, Cluster Interconnect can be configured as e0c and e0d or e0e and e0f.
- For RJ45, Cluster Interconnect can be configured as e0c and e0e or e0d and e0f.
Additional Information
- For UTA2, the same chip must be set to the same mode, so the following port configuration is recommended to avoid wasteful connections between chips.
if e0c is set to cna, e0d on the same chip must also be cna.
Therefore, for UTA2, Cluster Interconnect is configured as e0c and e0d or e0e and e0f.
