BMC does not boot with the primary firmware version after upgrade

Issue

  • BMC does not boot with Primary firmware version 10.9P2
  • Although the primary firmware has been successfully upgraded, the booted version still shows the old version.

BMC cluster1> version
Booted primary firmware version 10.9P1
Primary firmware version 10.9P2
Backup firmware version 10.9P1

  • Multiple reboots and attempts to boot from Primary firmware version 10.9P2 were unsuccessful
