AFF-A90 system cannot boot up due to device missing

Issue

  • The system reboots repeatedly with the error Device 173/0/0 (SW1) missing after upgrading ONTAP from 9.15.1P1 to 9.16.1RC1.

    • setenv AUTO_FW_UPDATE false & boot
    • setenv bootarg.nvram.no_update true & boot
    • setenv bootarg.nvram.force_update false & boot
    • Netboot by 9.15.1P4
