AFF-A900 Fails BMC 16.8 Upgrade

  • BMC 16.3/5/6 upgrading to 16.8

Issue

  • AFF-A900 with BMC version 16.3, 16.5, or 16.6 were stopping around 10%-60% during the upgrade to BMC 16.8 and would go back to 0 and fail the upgrade.
  • Issue only happened on the AFF-A900, but there were multiple AFF-A900 that upgraded to BMC 16.8 with no issues.
  • Restart the servprocd process
  • Perform a system power cycle
  • Performed bmc wipeclean
