Applies to

ONTAP 9.14.1P6
ADP (Advanced Drive Partitioning)

Issue

  • According to Fusion(fusion.netapp.com) and HWU(hwu.netapp.com), if the total internal disk count is 10 for A150 HA cluster, then the root aggregate of each node will select 5 partitioned disks(P3): 2 for parity disks, 2 for data disks, and remain 1 will be used as a spare disk.
  • However, when creating partitioned disks via Boot menu > 9 > 9a > 9b, ONTAP automatically creates the root aggregate with 2 partitioned disks and 3 data disks.
