CONTAP-534545: ONTAP Ethernet Switch Health Monitor restarts unexpectedly due to SNMP-agent failure

Issue

  • The Ethernet switch health monitor (CSHM) crashes when the snmp-agent running in CL5.4 responds with non-increasing SNMP indices; although it could affect other switch models as well.
  • The deamon process is observed to start multiple times:
    ::*> spm show -node * -name cshmd
    Node Name Pid State Exec Times
    node cshmd 48911 running
