CONTAP-526508: Mismatch of IPv6 details in ONTAP and BMC when DHCPv6 is enabled

Issue

  • When DHCPv6 is enabled for the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) public network interface, if the DHCPv6 server is unreachable or unavailable, ONTAP's "sp network show" command displays "SP Network Setup Status: succeeded" even though no IPv6 address is assigned.
  • Meanwhile, the BMC's "bmc status" command shows "Using DHCP: No" and "Global IP: Disabled" for IPv6.
  • This discrepancy between ONTAP and BMC status outputs can confuse end users regarding the actual network configuration and status.
