Issue

  • ONTAP version is < 9.16.1
  • After a motherboard replacement, ONTAP issues call-home about personality mismatch:
    Mon Jun 30 12:35:19 +0000 [MyCluster: cfdisk_config: callhome.sfo.personality:alert]: Call home for HA GROUP ERROR: PERSONALITY MISMATCH
  • While the node personality shows correctly as AFF-A platform along with All-Flash Optimized: true, at the same time Capacity Optimized: true" is set unexpectedly
    ::> node run -node MyCluster-01 -command sysconfig -a
    ...
    All-Flash Optimized: true
    Capacity Optimized: true
    ...
    slot 0: System Board 2.2 GHz (System Board XXIV G3)
    Model Name: AFF-A800
    ...

  • Boot argument is set unexpectedly to true but was not set prior motherboard replacement: bootarg.init.qlc_cap_optimized="true"
  • DNA boot argument is correctly set to AFF-A personality: bootarg.init.dna="16"
