Issue

  • Shelf module reports boot device fault in storage show fault -v command output or STORAGE-FAULT AutoSupport section:

Enclosure Status: normal
Channel: 0x
Shelf: 1
Shelf Type: NS224NSM100
Module Type: NSM100

  • The Boot device error is visible through the storage shelf show -instance command.

  • In some ocassions a module reboot can be noticed with the following ONTAP event message. Example:
