CFSHELF-2190: ses.status.electronicsWarn and ses.status.ModuleError intermittently seen on systems with internal NVMe drives

Issue

  • On systems with internal NVMe drives, ONTAP might intermittently report communication errors with storage enclosure services (SES) for the internal shelf management
  • The condition clears a few minutes to an hour later
  • The following are example events logged during this condition:

20:18:13 +0000 [node1: dsa_worker2: ses.status.electronicsWarn:error]: FS4483PSM3E (S/N SHFNC23200XXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0s environmental monitoring warning for SES electronics 1: communication error. ; enclosure services hardware failed This element is on the rear of the shelf at the top, on shelf module (A).
20:18:13 +0000 [node1: dsa_worker2: ses.status.ModuleError:alert]: FS4483PSM3E (S/N SHFNC23200XXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0s PCI switch error for PCI Switch 1: status not available; status not available. This element is on the rear of the shelf at the top, on shelf module (A).
