Issue

  • Applies to AFF A250, AFF C250, ASA A250 or AFF A250 storage systems with motherboard Mfg. part number: 111-05257
  • The X1152 (4‑port 25GbE RoCE SFP28) NIC is in slot 1
  • ONTAP's NIC port mapping is incorrect for the ports in slot 1:
    • Physical port e1a maps to e1c in ONTAP
    • Physical port e1b maps to e1d in ONTAP
    • Physical port e1c maps to e1a in ONTAP
    • Physical port e1d maps to e1b in ONTAP
  • When a cable is plugged into physical e1a, network port show / sysconfig reports e1c as up while e1a remains down
  • Similar incorrect behavior occurs for the other three ports on both nodes.
