Issue

Disk model X4014TCM5V15TNTE (Kioxia) drives report much higher read and write IO latency. Increased latency started following an ONTAP upgrade from 9.12.1P11 to 9.14.1P12.

Check with the tool statit to check drive performance:

Cluster::> set diag
Cluster::*> run -node node1 -command statit -b
Wait for about 60 seconds
Cluster::*> run -node node1 -command statit -e

In the output look for the disks of model X4014TCM5V15TNTE and check the write latency:
disk             ut%  xfers  ureads--chain-usecs writes--chain-usecs cpreads-chain-usecs greads--chain-usecs gwrites-chain-usecs
