  • After a AFF A900, ASA A900 or FAS9500 systems update to BMC version 16.8, nodes might report a degraded PSU due to unreadable sensors.
  • The events might periodically reoccur after clearing.
  • The following sensors reporting "na".
    • PSU<n>_12V_OP_I
    • PSU<n>_12V_OP_V
    • PSU<n>_AC_IP_I
    • PSU<n>_AC_IP_V

The following is an example of the ONTAP events:
env_mgr: monitor.chassisPowerSupply.degraded:notice]: Chassis power supply 3 is degraded: PSU3 AC In Volt is Unreadable
env_mgr: monitor.chassisPowerSupply.degraded:notice]: Chassis power supply 3 is degraded: PSU3 AC In Curr is Unreadable
env_mgr: monitor.chassisPowerSupply.degraded:notice]: Chassis power supply 3 is degraded: PSU3 12V Out Volt is Unreadable
env_mgr: monitor.chassisPowerSupply.degraded:notice]: Chassis power supply 3 is degraded: PSU3 12V Out Curr is Unreadable
The following is an example of sensor values reported by ONTAP and the BMC:
PSU3_Status      | 0x0       | discrete   | AC OK      | na        | na        | na        | na

PSU3_AC_IP_I     | na        | Amps       | na         | na        | na        | 14.000    | 14.980
PSU3_AC_IP_V     | na        | Volts      | na         | 88.000    | 90.000    | 255.000   | 255.000
