CFBMC-7408: On some systems, the BMC IP address might temporarily show 0.0.0.0 after a BMC firmware update

Issue

  • On some systems, after updating to BMC firmware versions 18.5 (or later) or 19.3 (or later) from earlier BMC versions (BMC 19.2 or earlier, BMC 18.4 or earlier), the BMC IP address might temporarily display as "0.0.0.0" when running the "system service-processor show" command.
  • After 5-10 minutes, the previously configured IP address is displayed
  • The following is an example of the output:

cluster::> system service-processor show
                               IP           Firmware
Node          Type Status      Configured   Version   IP Address
------------- ---- ----------- ------------ --------- -------------------------
cluster-01    BMC  online      true         19.3      0.0.0.0, ::
cluster-02    BMC  online      true         19.3      0.0.0.0, ::
