CFBIOS-54: "BIOS POST Failure" with IPMI failure occurs during a power cycle after updating the BMC to 11.9 or later
Issue
- On some storage systems running older BIOS versions where the baseboard management controller (BMC) was recently upgraded to 11.9 or later, the node fails to boot with a "BIOS POST Failure" error, related to failed IPMI communication with the BMC.
- The BMC is subsequently booted to its backup firmware image.
- The following console messages indicate this issue:
