Issue

  • On some storage systems running older BIOS versions where the baseboard management controller (BMC) was recently upgraded to 11.9 or later, the node fails to boot with a "BIOS POST Failure" error, related to failed IPMI communication with the BMC.
  • The BMC is subsequently booted to its backup firmware image.
