Issue

  • Systems affected by CONTAP-582089 can subsequently be affected by CONTAP-605706
  • After a SnapMirror source cluster that is QAT platform and running 9.16.1P8 is introduced, previously working SnapMirrors  generate the error 
    Transfer failed. (Replication engine encountered an error during decompressing data. (Replication engine error))

  • CONTAP-605706 introduces a new symptom, where SnapMirror relationships unrelated to the new QAT host, from other non-QAT sources, fail with the same decompression error
