Brocade G720 and G610 switch fails to power on post power maintenance activity

Issue

  • Brocade G720 and G610 switch not powering on.
  • The LEDs on the switch blinks for a brief period and then stopped blinking completely.
  • Connecting the switch serially does not display any output and there is no led blinking either on the console port.
  • No blinking LED at all on any of the ports on the switch end.
  •  Below steps can be performed:
    • Connect the switch serially and power cycle the switch
    • Swap the power cables with good known power cable
    • Connect the power cables to a different PDU
    • Check if there are any LED blinking
  • If above steps doesn't help , proceed to the "solution" section
