Answer

  • When drive fail, the system first perform drive(volume) reconstruction and when faulty drive replaced, the drive rebalance start.
  • Disk pool itself contains integrated preservation capacity to provide drive reconstruction when drive fail.
  • After drive replacement, the data from the existing drives will be dynamically rebalanced on to the new drive.
