  • Depend on models some drives are reserved specifically for E-Series read cache.
Example:

Each SG6060 and SG6060X appliance can have one or two expansion shelves for a total of 180 drives (two of these drives are reserved for E-Series read cache).
  • Follow the steps below to identify if any read cache drives are being used
  1. Login to StorageGRID Grid Manager
  2. Select NODES
  3. Select the target node
  4. Select Hardware
  5. Select Storage Shelves
  6. Check Cache drives column
