StorageGRID SANtricity upgrade stuck at Staged phase and does not upgrade

Issue

When upgrading SANtricity on several StorageGRID Appliances, a single node does not upgrade.
 
  • On Primary Admin node in /var/local/log/gdu-server.log :

I, [2023-11-02T11:53:51.042585 #20610]  INFO -- gdu-server: Successfully installed SANtricity OS  on <nodename>

  • StorageGRID GUI reports upgrade as completed, but still shows old firmware

  • SANtricity reports "The staged SANtricity OS Software upgrade is ready to be activated" :
