  • Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)

Issue

  • The appliance installer or maintenance page for the StorageGRID appliance reports the following alert: 

Appliance model cannot be determined from hardware. Normal operation is not possible. Attempt an A/C power cycle of the system. If this error persists, contact technical support.

  • The Appliance Installer BMC configuration page (Configure Hardware > BMC) displays below message:

This appliance model doesn't not have a Baseboard Management Controller to configure
