StorageGRID nodes deployed on virtual machines hosted by VMware hardware

Description

At times, environmental requirements will result in the underlying hardware for StorageGRID node virtual machines to be upgraded.

  • For example, security risks require minimum version 9 for Hypervisor-Assisted Guest Mitigation for branch target injection {​CVE-2017-5715}​.
