Description

This procedure describes the steps to delete delete markers of versioned objects using StorageGRID Bucket Lifecycle Policy. This procedure deletes noncurrent object versions with Delete Markers.

While you can clear out delete markers with an ILM policy it is not recommended as you cannot target just the delete markers of a versioned object. With an ILM policy you will have to target all objects including the versioned objects.
