Temperature of compute controller exceed nominal threshold StorageGRID Appliance
Applies to
- StorageGRID Appliance
- SG1000
- SG1100
Issue
- One of the appliances shows an alert on the StorageGRID dashboard; the other appliances are working fine:
The temperature of the compute controller in a StorageGRID appliance has exceeded a nominal thresholdAppliance compute controller chassis temperature too highDAS drive failedAppliance FAN fault detected

- Node became unresponsive, but the BMC interface remained accessible.
- BMC logs showed critical CPU temperature alerts (e.g., 101°C), and an orange LED was blinking.
