Issue

  • One of the appliances shows an alert on the StorageGRID dashboard; the other appliances are working fine:
    • The temperature of the compute controller in a StorageGRID appliance has exceeded a nominal threshold
    • Appliance compute controller chassis temperature too high 
    • DAS drive failed
    •  Appliance FAN fault detected

  • Node became unresponsive, but the BMC interface remained accessible.
  • BMC logs showed critical CPU temperature alerts (e.g., 101°C), and an orange LED was blinking.
