Event Summary

StorageGRID Grid Manager reports the following alert: Appliance fan fault detected - A problem with a fan unit in the appliance was detected.

Validate

Login to the StorageGRID Grid Manager, and confirm the "Appliance fan fault detected" is present under Alerts section. 

Resolution

  1. Inspect the fan unit for loose power connections or obstructions. Resolve any noticeable issue before proceeding to next step.
  2. If necessary, replace the fan unit. Please engage NetApp Technical Support for further assistance.

WARNING

If a fan problem persists, the appliance might reach unacceptable operating temperatures.
