Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Keystone
  • AIQ Dashboards
  • SAN

Description

  • Keystone Logical Used is generally calculated by the method below:

logical-used-by-afs + size-used-by-snapshots = Keystone Logical Used

  • When LUNs are in use, the calculation changes. LUNs are logical containers whose size are added directly to logical-used-by-afs.
  • Thin provisioning and space reservation impact the amount of space occupied by the LUN and must be accounted for to accurately meter Keystone Logical Used.
  • The following procedure can be used to determine the approximate consumption values to be counted toward the corresponding service levels for a specific volume containing a LUN(s).
