Missing LUNs, VMDK disks or RDM disks in SnapCenter due to unresolvable SnapCenter server host

  • SnapCenter plug-in for Windows (SCW)
  • SnapCenter plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)

Issue

  • LUNs, VMDK disks or RDM disks are not listed in the Hosts -> Disks page

  • Refresh Disks in the Hosts -> Disks doesn't discover LUNs, VMDK disks or RDM disks.
  • SMCoreService.log on the SCW host shows an error.

Example:

2020-03-20T14:05:20.0965792+08:00 ERROR SMCore_496 PID=[14368] TID=[83] Exception in method: Invoke.
System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'snapcenter.demo.netapp.com'
