Issue

  • Adding Datastore or Virtual Machine (VM) to Resource Group fails: 

Some entities are not SnapCenter compatible
Selected virtual machine is not SnapCenter compatible
There are possible reasons for this error:
1)All the Datastores and VMDK files used by VM are not on supported storage.
2)All NetApp Storage Virtual Machine (SVMs) related to Datastores or VM are not registered within
SnapCenter and/or SCV

  • Backup fails:
    • Task 'Discovering Resources' failed with error: Unable to discover resources on SCV: Failed to determine LUN based on the serial number
    • Exception occurred: Unable to find NetApp VASA Provider managing vVol: <datastore name>
