Unified Manager sends AutoSupport from incorrect email address

Issue

  • When sending an Autosupport via SMTP, it is always sent from ActiveIQUnifiedmanager@localhost/ActiveIQUnifiedmanager@UnifiedManager
  • SMTP logs :

MX check failed - Domain UnifiedManager; addr=<ActiveIQUnifiedManager@UnifiedManager>, mailer=internet, relay=<relay server>
...

ruleset=check_mail, arg1=<ActiveIQUnifiedManager@UnifiedManager>, relay=<relay server with IP>, reject=501 5.1.8 Sorry, failed to verify address <ActiveIQUnifiedManager@UnifiedManager> or check MX record for UnifiedManager

 

  • The configured mail address in Settings -> Notifications -> From Address does not take effect
