Description

This article describes the procedure on how to set up NTP time synchronization in Data ONTAP 7-Mode and to configure SNTP.

To configure SNTP, perform the step below :

  1. Set up SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol)

Notes:

  • Reminder: you should also set option timed.servers on the partner node or the next takeover might not function correctly. Change the timed.servers option which applies to both members of the cluster in takeover mode. This value must be the same in both cluster members earlier than any takeover or giveback, or that next takeover/giveback might not work correctly.
  • Option timed.servers changed on one cluster node.
