Issue

This AutoSupport message is triggered when RAID reconstruction onto a spare disk failed. This will result in a DEGRADED RAID group, which may compromise data and system availability as well as potentially impact overall system performance.

While one or more degraded RAID groups are already a potentially serious condition, if a disk has failed to reconstruct completely, it may indicate a problem with loop stability.

In the case of a DISK RECONSTRUCTION FAILED error, you might also see one or more of the following AutoSupport (ASUP) errors:

DISK MISSING
FILESYSTEM DISK MISSING
FILESYSTEM DISK NOT RESPONDING
SPARE DISK MISSING
SPARES_LOW
SPARE DISK NOT RESPONDING
MULTIPLE DISKS MISSING
ENCLOSURE SERVICES ACCESS ERROR

Note: Some of these ASUPs may be sent multiple times - please see BUG 164936 (STORAGE SPAM) for a possible explanation.
