Network connectivity issue on NSX edge using Mellanox ConnectX

  • NSX Edge 3.2.x or above
  • ESXi nmlx5 driver version 4.19.16.11 

Issue

NetApp HCI cluster is setup using vSphere Distributed Switch (VDS) .

NSX Edge tunnel is down when using the same vmnic on different Uplink Profile

  • The NSX Edge transport nodes tunnel shows as "Down" when   vlan type is set as "VLAN" in Distibuted Port Group.

  • But, when vlan type set as “ VLAN trunking “  in Distibuted Port Group,  Edge transport nodes tunnel  shows as  “ Up “
