Issue

The following alert types are seen in NetApp SolidFire Active IQ:

  • Alert Name: Host connection and power state
    • Description: Monitors the power state of the host and whether the host is reachable
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host connection and power state
  • Alert Name: Host hardware temperature status
    • Description: Monitors the temperature status of the host hardware.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host hardware temperature status
  • Alert Name: Status of other host hardware objects
    • Description: Monitors other host hardware objects.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Status of other host hardware objects
  • Alert Name: Host hardware voltage
    • Description: Monitors host hardware voltage.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host hardware voltage
  • Alert Name: Host hardware system board status
    • Description: Monitors the status of host system boards.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host hardware system board status
  • Alert Name: Host storage status
    • Description: Monitors host connectivity to storage devices.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host storage status
  • Alert Name: Cannot connect to storage
    • Description: Monitors host connectivity to a storage device.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Cannot connect to storage
  • Alert Name: Host hardware power status
    • Description: Monitors the host power status.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host hardware power status
  • Alert Name: VASA provider disconnected
    • Description: Monitors the changes in the connection state of VASA providers.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: VASA provider disconnected
  • Alert Name: VASA Provider certificate expiration alarm
    • Description: Monitors whether VASA provider certificates are getting close to their expiry date.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: VASA Provider certificate expiration alarm
  • Alert Name: Host IPMI System Event Log status
    • Description: Monitors the capacity of the IPMI system event log.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host IPMI System Event Log status
  • Alert Name: Host hardware fan status
    • Description: Monitors host fans.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host hardware fan status
  • Alert Name: Host Baseboard Management Controller status
    • Description: Monitors the status of the Baseboard Management Controller.
    • ASUP error: SolidFire Alert from <CLUSTER> (VMware) VMware Alarm: Host Baseboard Management Controller status
