Workload Security collector failing with Error Code: AGENT008 and no valid sequence number available

Issue

  • After reboot of the server running the Workload Security agent one or more of the collectors displays this error

SVM/Failure reason
connector1
Failed to determine the health of the collector within 2 retries, try restarting the collector again(Error Code:
AGENT008)

connector1 Connector is in error state. Service name: audit. Reason for failure: External fpolicy server
terminated.

 

  • Reviewing the agent.log from the connector show the following messages

[ERROR] [prod] [...] [80470] [datasource-ConfigManager] - Enable policy cloudsecure_svm1_policy failed for sequence 100 on SVM svm1 with message Invalid value specified for "sequence-number" element within "fpolicy-enable-policy": "100".

...
[WARN] [prod] [...] [...] [80470] [datasource-AuditManager] - Received error in configuring fpolicy. Reason: Failed to configure fpolicy on SVM svm1. Reason: No valid sequence number available to enable fpolicy policy on the SVM svm1, retriable: false
