Answer

  • When starting the upgrade process from the "New version available" notification:

  CVO upgrade: will it upgrade to the latest available version?

  • The available version will not be the newest version.
  • Cloud Manager will determine and present the available ONTAP version/s and a specific target version would have to be selected and approved manually.
