Event Summary

StorageGRID reports LowSystemDataCapacity indicating system data on the /var/local is low

Validate

  1. Login to the Primary Admin node
  2. Run df -h
  3. Verify space usage under /var/local

Resolution

  1. Verify if the space usage has already dropped below the threshold by running the df -h command
  2. Verify if the issue is related to one of below knowledge base articles:
  3. Verify if there is any old lumberjack log, delete it if it is not needed
  4. Contact NetApp Technical Support if the available space continues to decrease and above articles are not applicable.

Additional Information

The /var/local space usage may increase temporarily when gathering log files
