vifmgr.cluscheck.ctdpktloss: Continued packet loss when pinging from cluster lif

Issue

  • Continuous packet loss is observed in the cluster network and following events are reported:
::> event log show -event vifmgr.cluscheck*

    6/18/2021 16:44:03  node_name-01  ALERT     vifmgr.cluscheck.droppedlarge: Partial packet loss when pinging from cluster lif lif2_node_name-01 (node node_name-01) to cluster lif lif2_node_name-04 (node node_name-04).
    6/18/2021 16:31:29  node_name-02  ALERT     vifmgr.cluscheck.ctdpktloss: Continued packet loss when pinging from cluster lif lif1_node_name-02 (node node_name-02) to cluster lif lif2_node_name-04 (node node_name-04).
    ...
  • No hardware problems in SFPs, cables, ports, or switches.
  • On some occasions, a cluster ping-cluster check shows issues in one specific port.
