Upgrading Nexus 3132 cluster network switch causes it to drop into switch boot prompt

  • Cisco Nexus 3000 series switches

Issue

  • When upgrading a Nexus 3000 series with compact or full image to release 7.0(3)I7(7) or 7.0(3)I7(8), it will reload and comes up in switch boot prompt.
  • Following error is seen:
Trim files after extracting TOR files ...
error while upgrading the firmware
/mnt/cfg/1 dir return 32 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Config partitions are not partitioned properly.\nDisk will be re-initialized. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
