Applies to

  • VMware ESXi hypervisor
  • ONTAP 9
  • iSCSI
  • FCP
  • FCoE

Description

  • For high-performance environments, the default claim rule in ESXi may not be able to fully utilize all of the storage and network resources available to the system.
  • Therefore in such circumstances, you may wish to create a custom claim rule to increase the load balance algorithm to alternate paths for each IO, instead of waiting for the default threshold before using more paths.
