Answer

-tiering-minimum-cooling-days option prevents tiering scanner from sending cold data to cloud tier through transfer engine.

  • If tiering scanner has already sent cold block information to transfer engine, those blocks will be sent to cloud tier regardless of the change in tiering-minimum-cooling-days.
  • If tiering scanner has not yet sent cold block information to transfer engine, tiering scanner will not send new data to transfer engine until tiering-minimum-cooling-days arrives.
