Data LIF of the takeover node briefly disconnects during node takeover

Issue

While performing a node takeover, moving data LIF to a takeover node results in brief disconnection.

  • In the event log there are notifications about LIFs being moved:

Sun Feb 13 16:11:07 +0100 [node01: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifBeingRemoved:notice]: LIF node02-cifs (on virtual server 3), IP address 10.20.20.10, is being removed from node node01, port a0d.
Sun Feb 13 16:11:07 +0100 [node01: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifBeingRemoved:notice]: LIF node02-nfs (on virtual server 3), IP address 10.20.21.8, is being removed from node node01, port a0d.

  • External cache warming process terminated due to timeout prior the kernel shutdown notice:

  • Vifmgr unit going offline and back online:
