Issue

  • When attempting to start OnCommand Insight Data Warehouse via the Windows Services application the service "Informix IDS - ol_cognoscm" will fail to start with the resulting error message: "The user name or password is incorrect."
  • If one attempts to start the IBM Cognos Content Data Store via the IBM Cognos Configuration tool the following error is observed.

[ERROR] Content Manager failed to connect to the content store.

Reason: Authentication failed because of connectivity restrictions enforced by the security plug-in. ERRORCODE=-4214, SQLSTATE=28000
