Applies to

  • ActiveIQ Unified Manager (UM) 9.8
  • Performance Service Level (PSL)

Issue

  • A workload in UM has the Apply System Recommended PSL assigned

  • UM uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to determine the best PSL
  • When there is a sudden large data transfer on this workload, the IOPS on this volume increases heavily while the PSL might not be adapted to this
  • This will cause in increase in latency on this volume because the PSL is not adjusted to the variable workload
