Local Users in AIQ Unified Manager containing a dot or special characters cannot be deleted or edited

Issue

  • cannot edit or delete local user with one or more dots in the name
  • Unable to Add/Delete user Accounts in Active IQ Unified Manager
  • same applies to other special characters in the list below
  • Local user created containing
    ‘/’, ‘\’, ‘%’, ‘;’, ‘.’
    in the username, cannot be deleted or edited from Active IQ Unified Manager GUI.
  • Attempt to delete the user (test.user) fails with error: 

    User not found with username test

  • if you look for user.middle.last the ocumserver.log shows this error:
