SolidFire Cluster down with MVIP and SVIP unresponsive

Issue

  • After all nodes in the cluster were shut down and powered back up, the cluster will not come up.
  • Management Virtual IP (MVIP) and Storage Virtual IP (SVIP) unreachable.
  • Nodes are up
    • Web UI and TUI shows them as active participants in a cluster with correct IPs, cluster name, and active ports
    • Diagnostics such as ping between nodes, connectivity tests, ensemble check all fail due to xDBOperationTimeout
    • 1Gb, 10Gb, and IPMI IPs are reachable from other devices within the same network
  • Attempts to access a node management IP without the 442 port redirect to /createcluster/clusterstopped.htm
